According to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, there have been seven winners of prizes $250,000 or more on Vancouver Island so far this year.
Three of those were Maxmillions winners on October 5. One ticket was purchased in Victoria while the others were bought in Ladysmith and Nanaimo. The Victoria winner, Richard Kraeker, is splitting his $1 million with a matching ticket in Quebec.
