A logging truck has tipped over, spilling its load and blocking a major intersection in Port Alberni Monday.

Port Alberni fire says they responded around 4 p.m. along with police, ambulance and municipal workers after the vehicle ended up on its side in the intersection of Roger Street and Stamp Avenue.

Flaggers were on the scene quickly and the roadway is blocked until crews can clean up the logs.

Officials say there were no injuries.

A witness says a logging company is on the scene with a crane removing the logs.
