BC Ferries says the issue on the Baynes Sound Connector loading ramp has been resolved and service is resuming.
Due to the buildup in traffic, the ferry will operate on a shuttle service until further notice, rather than a set schedule.
Shuttle service means that the ferry will begin reloading immediately after passengers have exited the ferry and depart straight away rather than waiting for the schedule.
Sailings were cancelled starting at 9:40 a.m. and initially the ferry company thought the issue wouldn’t be resolved until 4:40 p.m.
Then shortly before 1:30 p.m., the update came that the issue was resolved and service would resume.
#ServiceNotice (2/2) – The vessel will sail in shuttle mode until further notice in order to clear traffic between both terminals.
