Over the next two weeks, residents in Langford, Saanich and Central Saanich can expect to see a low-flying helicopter.
In a post on Facebook, the City of Langford says the low-flying surveys will take place in the daylight hours.
“The Capital Reginal District is one of 14 regional districts in BC that Talon will pass through during this time,” the Facebook post says. “Flight time over a single area will be minimal. There will be no activity on the ground related to this flight.”
Talcon Helicopters, which is the company operating the helicopter for the LiDAR mapping, says this is routine mapping of BC Hydro infrastructure.
