Laketown Shakedown has announced its 2023 line up.

Laketown Shakedown has released its schedule ahead of the summer music festival held in the Cowichan Valley, and some of the biggest names include Shaggy, Portgual. The Man and Third Eye Blind.

The festival will be running through the Canada Day weekend, starting Friday, June 30 and ending Sunday, July 2. Tickets go on sale March 17 at 9 a.m. and can be purchased through a Ticketmaster portal on the event’s website. At this point ticket prices haven’t been announced.

Festival-goers will have the option of purchasing a single-day pass or a weekend pass, and if you want to spend the night at the infamous Laketown Ranch, you’ll need to grab yourself a campground pass on top of your base admission ticket.

All in all, the Cowichan Valley is in for a rocking weekend. Some other big names scheduled to play include Aqua, Canadian rapper Classified, K’Naan, and Canadian singer SonReal to name a few. You can see the full festival lineup on their Instagram page below.

Shuttle transportation for the event as well as more information about food services, are expected to be announced closer to the event.

This is the second summer the festival is returning after a two-year hiatus during the pandemic.

Last year’s festival saw some big names, including Wu-Tang Clan and the Arkells.

Following the Canada Day weekend festival, the venue will host another Vancouver Island music festival in August, the Sunfest Country Music Festival.
