In an update Monday, Feb. 19, RCMP say Owen Weld has been found “safe and sound.”

Mounties in the Lake Cowichan area are asking the public to keep an eye out for a missing man who was last seen on Valentine’s Day.

Police are searching for 19-year-old Owen Weld who was last seen in Lake Cowichan on Feb. 14.

Investigators believe he is driving a black 1997 Toyota Rav4 with B.C. license plate TR728D.

“We are very concerned for Owen and are asking the public to keep a look out for him and his vehicle,” said Const. Brett Urano, a division media relations officer with the B.C. RCMP in a release Friday.

Weld is described as a white man who stands 5’10” with a heavy build. He has blue eyes and short brown hair.
