Victoria police are asking for the public’s help after the Banff Academy midget hockey team had their Jerseys and goalie equipment stolen overnight.

Police say they were called to the  2800-block of Douglas Street after staff from the team discovered this morning that their home and away jerseys and goalie gear had been stolen from their locked trailer.

Some gear, including the goalie leg pads, were left behind.

The home jerseys are white with black accents around the neck and black and gold stripes near the bottom with “Banff Academy” on the front. The away jerseys are black with white and gold sections on the arms and “Banff Academy” on the front in gold lettering.

The goalie equipment stolen was all CCM branded and includes a blocker, catcher, chest and shoulder protector, goalie pants and goalie mask.

The team, that travelled to the city for a hockey tournament, had to borrow jerseys and gear for their game today.

Anyone with information on the suspects or information that could lead up to the return of the items is asked to contact Victoria police at 250-995-7654 or Crimestoppers.
