

One of two vehicles involved in a crash Thursday morning in Nanaimo at the intersection of Uplands Drive and Oliver Road. Three people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Nanaimo RCMP are investigating a two-vehicle crash that sent three people to hospital and the jaws of life were needed get one person out of a badly damaged car.
The collision happened Thursday morning around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Uplands Drive and Oliver Road.
A blue car and a black pickup were both damaged and Nanaimo firefighters had to cut out the passenger door of the car to remove one person inside.

Authorities say the three people taken to hospital have non-life threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for close to an hour.
