Island Health is alerting anyone who attended the Tofino Brewing Company on Oct. 27 between 5-7 p.m. about a possible exposure to COVID-19.
The health authority says if you were at that location during the times of possible exposure, it does not mean you will develop COVID-19.
Officials says the possible exposure is believed to be low risk, but out of caution, Island Health is asking anyone who may have visited the Tofino Brewing Company between 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 27 to monitor themselves for symptoms.
Island Health says contact tracing has been completed, and anyone identified as a close contact has been instructed to self-isolate.
“If you have not been contacted by public health, then please be assured you did not have a high-risk exposure related to this case. No ongoing COVID-19 risk from this exposure has been identified,” Island Health said in a release Thursday night.
The health authority says if you develop any symptoms of COVID-19, to seek testing and self-isolate.
