Island fuel truck driver blew three times the legal blood alcohol limit, RCMP say

A truck driver who was seen driving all over the road the night of Friday, October 25th on the Nanaimo Parkway is now facing multiple charges.

The 46-year-old driver was caught by mounties behind the wheel with a blood-alcohol level three times the legal limit. He was hauling an 18-wheeler carrying fuel tanks.

Police say the driver also had empty beer cars right up in the cab with him.

The North Vancouver Island resident is due in court mid-December facing charges of driving while impaired, and driving while over the legal limit.
