Oak Bay police are notifying residents about another incident involving an aggressive deer.
Police said on Nov. 26, two boys reported they were chased by a buck while they were on their scooters on Lulie Street.
According to police, the boys were not injured but they were upset.
The report comes five days after a woman was knocked over by a buck while she was riding her bicycle at St. Ann Street and Bowker Avenue. The buck was with a doe and a fawn when he charged at the woman. The woman suffered a shoulder injury and a mild concussion.
The high deer population has remained a part of the conversation throughout the community in recent years. There was a cull back in 2015, which saw 11 deer killed.
The approach led to criticism among some animal rights groups and now a pilot project to give immuno-contraceptives to some of the deer is set to begin next year to reduce the deer numbers.
