
The detour getting drivers around the Highway 4 closure will be shut down for several hours Friday.
Starting at 1 p.m., travel on the detour will be prohibited until 9 p.m., as crews will be making an effort to recover a vehicle near Francis Lake.

Those hoping to travel along the route tomorrow are being advised to check for the latest information on the DriveBC website.
Currently, the detour is serving as the main and only route that connects the east coast to the west coast of Vancouver Island.
