High-risk violent sex offender plans to live in Campbell River: B.C. Corrections

B.C.’s Ministry of Public Safety has issued a public notification warning of a high-risk violent sex offender who plans to live in the Campbell River area.

The notification, issued Wednesday, March 13, says Tyson Jerome Andrew has a lengthy criminal history that includes convictions for sexual assault.

He poses a “significant risk to women” and “plans to live in Campbell River,” according to B.C. Corrections in the bulletin.

It’s noted that Andrew stands at 5’8″ and weighs 189 lbs. He is Indigenous with black hair and brown eyes, and a photo of him was provided.

The notice also says Andrew is subject to close monitoring by police and has 11 court-ordered conditions, including not possessing or consuming alcohol, drugs or any intoxicating substances except with a medical prescription.

He also has a curfew and cannot enter into or continue any close intimate relationship, whether dating, common-law, or marriage, without first telling his probation officer.

Anyone who sees Andrew violating his conditions is asked to call police.
