Health Canada is recalling 61,000 dishwashers from five different brands because their power cords could overheat and pose a fire risk.
The recall involves dishwashers from Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau, Jenn-Air and Kenmore and involves models not included in an October 2015 recall.
Health Canada says 61,000 of the affected models were sold in Canada and an estimated 408,000 were sold in the United States.
Consumers with these products are urged to stop using them immediately and contact the Safety Recall Hotline at 1-888-965-5813 for a free inspection and repair.
Health Canada says the affected dishwashers were sold between January 2013 and May 2015 at stores nationwide and online.
Model and serial numbers are printed inside the dishwasher either on the top of the inner door panel or on the right side of the dishwasher panel.
The dishwasher manufacturer is BSH Home Appliances Corporation based in Irvine, Calif.
