WATCH: The Victoria Grizzlies were simply outmatched by the Prince George Spruce Kings by a score of 4-2 in game one of their best-of-seven series on the mainland Friday night.
The Spruce Kings badly outshot the Grizzlies, and controlled the pace of play for the majority of the first two periods of play.
The Grizzlies attempted to make a comeback in the third period, but Prince George locked down the fort and secured the opening victory.
Game two goes Saturday night in PG, while the series shifts back to Victoria for Monday.
