Grizzlies’ Dumba posts first career shutout in win over Silverbacks

WATCH: The Victoria Grizzlies are missing their entire top line, top-6 forward Cam Thompson and both of their regular goaltenders, and yet they’re still finding ways to win.

The Grizzlies got an outstanding performance from 20-year-old netminder Kyle Dumba, who stopped all 43 shots he faced against his old team for his first junior hockey shutout.

It was also teddy bear toss night at the Q Centre, and interim captain Ryan Nolan buried the opening goal just over six minutes into the contest.

Grizzlies forward Eddie Yan would score the insurance marker six minutes later, and Dumba would do the rest as the Grizzlies go on to win the game 2-0.
