A wind warning is in effect for Greater Victoria and the Southern Gulf Islands.
Greater Victoria and the Southern Gulf Islands are under a wind warning.
The wind warning was issued by Environment Canada just after 10:30 a.m. Friday morning.
The weather agency said northeast outflow winds will strengthen to 70 kilometres an hour with gusts to 90 this evening as the arctic front moves across the area.
The wind will ease below warning criteria near midday on Saturday but will remain blustery.
