Police say they are on Carroll Street in Victoria and are negotiating with man breaching his probation.
The Greater Victoria Emergency Team and Victoria police have taken a man into custody on Carroll Street after hours of negotiation.
Police were called to Burnside Road and Carroll Street at around 9:15 a.m. for a report of a probation violation.

Negotiators were at the scene and were trying to get the man to leave an apartment building in the 3100-block of Carroll Street. VicPD’s K9 Unit was also in the area.
At around 4:20 p.m., Victoria police say the man was taken into custody and they were still investigating the incident.
Victoria police say the man is known to them.
