In this episode of Get Up and Grow, CHEK’s Hannah Lepine and Gord Nickel, president of Wildwood Outdoor Living Centre, go over summer watering tips to keep your plants healthy.
Gord first shows Hannah tree watering bags, designed to save the grower time and money and save trees from dehydration. They work by slowly releasing water directly into the tree’s roots. They wrap around the bottom half of a tree’s trunk or sit on top of tree beds in a doughnut shape.
Gord then shows Hannah different types of drainage pots and self-watering spouts. He also goes over a cool technique to ensure you’re not overwatering your plants.
