The Sidney/ North Saanich RCMP are no longer seeking information in the search for a missing pair of Sidney residents following the discovery of a crashed vehicle.
Thirty-six-year-old Easha Rayel and 23-year-old James Evans were last seen Friday August 9, and were suspected to be together. Officers believed the two were travelling in a dark blue 2002 BMW 325Ci — and that they may have been heading to the Vancouver area.

Two bodies believed to be the missing pair were discovered inside the vehicle but Sidney/North Saanich RCMP would not confirm their identities.
They also would not confirm that the recovered vehicle is that of the missing pair.
Alastair Evans, James Evans father, said that his son and Reyal worked together at the Victoria Airport.
“They were having fun, they were good friends and you know it’s just sad that it happened,” James Evans’ father said.
On Aug. 24, traffic was being detoured on the stretch of the highway, later that evening friends gathered at a pub to mourn Reyal and Evans.
Police say there is no evidence of criminal behavior in the deaths, and that they will not be making further comment on the matter as they continue to support the BC Coroner’s Service.
