Sooke Road between Jacklin Road and Happy Valley Road is closed after a flatbed truck hit a traffic light pole Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at the intersection of Jacklin Road and Highway 14.
In photos taken by witnesses, the truck appeared to hit the pole as it was turning west onto Sooke Road coming from the southbound lane of Jacklin Road.
RCMP are at the scene and an assessment is in progress.

Drive B.C. says there is no estimated time for Highway 14 to re-open.
