Firefighters in Victoria quickly extinguished a fire at the Arbutus Inn on Douglas Street Friday and cleanup is now underway.
The Victoria Fire Department were called to the structure near Burnside Road East and Douglas Street at around 4 p.m. Staff and guests were evacuated.
The fire was reportedly started on a mattress.
There is no word yet on the cause or the extent of the damage.
