
Police arrested one man for drug trafficking offences and seized fentanyl, prescription drugs, and $20,000 in an operation last week.
Victoria Police’s Strike Force team, West Shore RCMP, the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team and VicPD’s Analysis and Intelligence Section worked together on the operation.
On Feb. 10 shortly after 4 p.m., VicPD’s Strike Force team, with the assistance of GVERT, arrested a man in the 900-block of Pandora Avenue on drug trafficking-related offences.
The man possessed quantities of fentanyl and prescription drugs that are consistent with drug trafficking.
VicPD in coordination with West Shore RCMP conducted a search warrant on the man’s residence in the 1000-block of Haslam Avenue in Langford.
Officers seized approximately $20,000 in cash, as well as quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and prescription drugs consistent with drug trafficking.

The suspect was later released pending further investigation. Investigators will be recommending drug trafficking charges against the man.
