It’s an exciting weekend for curling fans on Vancouver Island, with the men’s and women’s B.C. Curling Championships underway in Esquimalt.

On Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 27 and 28, CHEK will be broadcasting live from the Archie Browning Sports Centre.

Starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, CHEK’s Stacey Ross and Jeff King will be covering the final qualifying games for both the men’s and women’s competitions.

Then at 7 p.m., the pair will be covering the men’s and women’s semi-finals games at Archie Browning.

CHEK will return to the arena on Sunday, when the provincial finals will take place, with women throwing their first rocks at 9 a.m., followed by the men’s games at 2 p.m.

The winners of this weekend’s provincial championships will go on to represent B.C. at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Calgary, AB, in February and at the Brier Cup in Regina, SK in March.
