Hydro says power is out for six properties and expects to have it restored around 11:55 p.m.

It’s unknown how the branch fell, but one resident was just across the street when the incident occurred.

“Wife and I were leaving for a dog walk and we were going to get in her car which is now under the tree and as we came outside we could hear cracking,” Dominic Downs said.

“Waited for maybe a minute and then the branch came down right in front of us, we were standing right across the road and it took out the power lines.”

There’s no word on damage to the vehicles.
