Nanaimo RCMP are looking for an “extremely heavy” bench that was taken from Morden Colliery Provincial Park.
Police said the bench was reported missing on July 12 but may have been taken in late 2017 due to different reports of when the bench was last seen.
The bench was installed in the park using an excavator. Police said it is extremely heavy and very difficult to move. Three sides of the bench are inscribed with F.0.M.M (Friends of the Morden Mine).
Anyone with information on where the bench is or who stole it is asked to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
