Mainroad Mid-Island Contracting crews will be closing one lane of Highway 4 near Port Alberni Thursday for a rock removal project.
Crews will be removing rocks from the ditch and shoulder of Highway 4 westbound, two kilometres west of Sproat Landing.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, meaning drivers should expect minimal delays.
Drivers are reminded to slow down, obey all signs and traffic control personnel and watch for roadside workers.
On Monday, DriveBC took to X (formerly Twitter), saying the stretch of highway was closed due to a rockslide about 16 km west of Port Alberni.
