A busy Esquimalt street is closed early Friday afternoon due to a water main break.
Esquimalt Road is closed between Head Street and Lampson Street due to a water pipe breaking.
Water could be seen pooled along the 900-block of Esquimalt Road early Friday.
In a notice posted around noon, the township said crews from the City of Victoria – which maintains Esquimalt’s water pipes – were at the scene.
In an update Friday evening, the municipality said repairs would continue overnight, but were expected to be complete Saturday.

City of Victoria crews are on site and expect a temporary repair of the watermain to be complete in the next 4-5 hours. No water quality issues are expected after the repair. #yyjtraffic
