Three-vehicle collision causes heavy traffic on the Pat Bay Highway

A three-vehicle crash on the Patricia Bay Highway (Highway 17) south of McKenzie Avenue caused traffic delays in the area Wednesday.

Saanich police and other emergency crews are responded to the collision around 3:45 p.m. A motorcyclist was involved in the crash and was taken to hospital.

Just before 4 p.m., traffic was down to one lane southbound on the highway, south of McKenzie Avenue. Traffic was also slow northbound.

By 5 p.m., the crash scene has been cleared.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
