Firefighters rescued two dogs from a house fire on Windthrop Road in Colwood on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports of the fire came in at around 3:45 p.m., and smoke was seen coming from the attic. Firefighters from Langford, Colwood and View Royal responded to the blaze. It was fully extinguished by 5 p.m.

Two pet dogs were taken out of the home and one of them was revived by Ladder 35 from the View Royal Fire Department. Both dogs were taken to a veterinarian.

No residents were home at the time of the fire and the cause is under investigation.
