A Duncan man said he was in disbelief when he realized he’d won a guaranteed $1-million Lotto 6/49 prize last week.
Michael Wadsworth said he logged into his online account to check the results of the Jan. 19 draw and was blown away.
“It’s funny, because I always thought that one day I would log in to my PlayNow.com account to check my lottery tickets and see a great big number,” said Wadsworth. “I brought my breakfast into the living room, sat down in my chair, was checking my e-mails, and I almost fell out of the chair when I saw the prize.”
Wadsworth said he had to check with his wife over and over again after she stated which dream car she wanted to buy with the winnings.
“I asked if she was sure, that there’s also Audis and BMWs,” said Wadsworth. “She said ‘nope, I want a Volvo.’”
The Duncan resident says he’s also looking forward to taking his family on a vacation to Maui eventually.
