Campbell River RCMP says drugs and cash were seized when officers executed a warrant Thursday.

A 22-year-old man from the lower mainland was arrested after RCMP executed a search warrant in Campbell River Thursday.

Campbell River RCMP says a search of an apartment in 700-block of ninth avenue in Campbell River resulted in police grabbing more than 70 grams of methamphetamine, over 25 grams of crack cocaine, and 23 grams of powder cocaine.

Also seized was more than $6,000 cash and a Dodge Caravan.

RCMP are recommending charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking against the 22-year-old suspect.

Seizures such as these require far more investigative work, than many people realize, said Campbell River RCMP Cst. Maury Tyre.

It takes a lot of effort and information to gain access to a home or vehicle in order to hold criminals accountable for the misery they peddle. This seizure demonstrates the excellent work conducted by our Street Crimes Unit.
