A travel advisory is in effect for Mount Washington Road to the Highway 19 junction because of limited visibility with blowing snow.

Vehicles are required to use tire chains.

With a wind warning in effect for east Vancouver Island, strong crosswinds are reported on Highway 19, along with slushy sections and water pooling.

There are strong crosswinds and water pooling on Highway 28 in both directions west of Campbell River.
