One person was taken to hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash that knocked over a hydro line in Central Saanich Monday morning.

Central Saanich police say the crash happened in the 1700-block of Keating Cross Road, southeast of Brentwood Bay, around 6:20 a.m.

The collision caused traffic issues in the area and knocked out power to more than 700 B.C. Hydro customers.

Central Saanich police say traffic was redirected along Keating Cross Road east of West Saanich Road to allow hydro crews to work on the downed power lines.

Keating has reopened to alternating traffic.

Power has been restored to customers affected by the crash.

Police are still investigating the incident.
