
A driver faces a hefty fine after being nabbed by Saanich police for dropping a lit marijuana cigarette out of a car window.
The $575 ticket was issued under the Wildfire Act.
It happened on the 4900-block of Cordoba Bay Road on Monday just before 10 a.m.
A post on social medial also reveals the driver faces a $253 fine for speeding in a playground zone and $109 for failure to change address.

It comes just days after Saanich police posted a specific reminder on social media about dropping lit cigarettes out of car windows.
