West Shore RCMP is asking for help to find a dog that was taken from a home in Langford Wednesday.

Police got a call around 11 p.m. of a complaint from a Langford resident who said their dog, a Bluetick hound named Lilly was stolen from their fenced yard.

Officers attending the scene in the 1700-block of Falcon Heights Road saw the fence was damaged and a bag of food was left behind, which is believed to have been used to lure Lilly.

Lilly, and eight-year-old Bluetick hound, was reported stolen from her owner's fenced yard late Wednesday night.

Police describe Lilly as an eight-year-old female Bluetick hound, with a mostly black coat with bits of white and two white spots on the top of her head, light brown paws, and a tattoo in her ear.

Investigators say one of her ears has a slight cut in it and she was wearing a pink collar when she was taken.
