Currently, there is no word on the condition of the cyclist.

A spokesperson with BC Emergency Health Services says they have transported two people to hospital, in stable condition, following an early morning motor vehicle incident in Victoria.

At around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, BCEHS dispatched three ambulances to the intersection of Bay and Vancouver Street.

Two people were cared for at the scene before being transported to hospital in stable condition.

By 2 p.m., the road had reopened to the public.

A motor vehicle incident involving a cyclist closed a stretch of road on Bay Street.

Shortly before 8 a.m., Victoria Police took to Twitter to announce the closure Wednesday.

A span of road between Cook and Quadra Street is currently closed.

Currently, there is no word on the condition of the cyclist.

CHEK has reached out to authorities for more information.

As a result of the incident, BC Transit had to divert some of its routes around the area.
