An elderly woman has been found dead in her Cumberland home Wednesday night after a care-aide called 911.
Cumberland firefighters responded to a house on Sutton Road at 6 p.m. after a care-aide called to say she found the house full of smoke when she went to visit an 85-year-old woman.
Fire Chief Mike Williamson arrived moments later and tried to enter the home after the care-aide said there was a woman inside.
