Multiple crews from Victoria are putting out hot spots, after a large brush fire in Summit Park Monday.

Officials were called to the green space around 4:30 p.m. following reports of the blaze.

The fire was around 100-square metres in size but threatened no structures.

Fire officials say the moss is so dry they had to use foam to penetrate the ground.

Crews remained on scene to monitor the situation.

The cause of what started the fire remains unknown.
