A motor vehicle incident is snarling traffic near Qualicum Beach.
The incident happened sometime Wednesday morning along Highway 19 north of Memorial Avenue, where one southbound lane is blocked, according to DriveBC in a tweet around 11:30 a.m.
Video footage sent to CHEK News shows an air ambulance arriving on scene, as well as police, paramedics and fire crews attending to the crash.
BC Emergency Health Services says it was alerted to the incident at 10:46 a.m., and that two ambulances and one air ambulance responded.
“Paramedics cared for and transported two patients to hospital,” BCEHS told CHEK News in a statement.
DriveBC says commuters should expect congestion in the area.
