
A serious crash shut down traffic in northbound lanes of the Malahat in Mill Bay for hours Friday.
The crash appeared to involved several vehicles including on that rolled over on its side.
Emcon Services reported the crash occurred at the Deloume Road intersection in the northbound fast lane.
Emergency crews were on scene. Just after 6:30 p.m., Emcon reported the highway had fully reopened to traffic.

While it was closed, traffic was being diverted to Mill Bay Road and was backed up to the highway, which was compared to a “parking lot.”
The crash occurred some time around 3 p.m. Friday.
