Coroner looking into two deaths at Victoria’s Topaz Park

The BC Coroners Service says it is in the early stages an investigation into the deaths of two individuals at Topaz Park in Victoria Wednesday.

The deaths were reported to the coroner Wednesday afternoon and Victoria Police has determined the deaths are not suspicious.

The coroners service said Wednesday night both decedents were males – one in his 60s and the other in his mid-20s.

No identities have been released and a cause of death is unknown.

Victoria Police says it is referring inquiries to the coroner.

Topaz Park is home to a temporary homeless camp during the COVID-19 pandemic.
