WATCH: The strong ridge of high pressure that has kept skies clear, and temperatures soaring, across Vancouver Island is finally breaking down.

The heat warning for southern Vancouver Island and Greater Victoria has now been lifted, as highs are going to ease to the mid-20s by mid-week.
Look for one more day of very warm temperatures across east Vancouver Island and inland regions, with the heat warning still in effect, but watch for a change by Thursday and even a few scattered showers by the weekend.
