A condo in Vic West is on sale for a cool $10.9M, and if sold for that price it could be the most expensive home of its type on the Island.

The luxury home is in the The Promontory building on the 2100-block of Saghalie Road, and has a full 360-degree view of the inner harbour and surrounding areas.

Described as a “Pinnacle of luxury” online, it is just over 4200 square-feet and has three bedrooms and five outdoor patios.

It is listed on Realtor.ca by Scott Piercy from Engel & Völkers Vancouver Island.

A realtor from the site confirmed that the price would set a record for Vancouver Island condos.

In July the Victoria Real Estate Board said condo apartments in Victoria were on average $456,850.

The monthly maintenance fee alone, $1,500, could cover a one or possibly two bedroom rental.

According to the Canadian Rent Report by PadMapper, Victoria ranked as the 6th most expensive rental market in the nation last month — with the prices of one and two bedrooms settling at medians of $1,390 and $1,730.

The price of two bedrooms shot up 13.8 per cent since this time last year.

Citified.ca reported that the “ultra-opulent penthouse” in Customs House previously held the record. It sold for $10.8M.
