Comox Valley RCMP searching for suspect in $3,500 theft

Comox Valley RCMP say they’re looking for a suspect who allegedly stole more than $3,000 in merchandise from two businesses in Courtenay.

On Feb. 7, 2024, RCMP say that a man walked out of two businesses on the 3200-block of Cliffe Avenue within an hour apart of each other.

The suspect walked into one business, and reportedly walked out with $1,500 worth of merchandise, then walked into a different business and left with approximately $2,000 worth of merchandise.

Police describe the suspect as an average-height male with a stocky build. At the time of the alleged offense, he was wearing a toque and RCMP says he “had his hair styled in such a way it flowed out of the toque and covered one eye.”
