If you have ever wanted to learn about bats from an expert in the field, you’re in luck.

The Town of Comox is hosting Bat Talk with conservation biologist Tim Ennis at Filberg Park’s Rotary Stage today (April 11) at 2:30 p.m., according to their website.

Ennis, who is the regional coordinator of the North Island chapter of the B.C. Community Bat Program, will be speaking about bat biology, habitat, as well as the challenges that local bat populations are currently facing.

The Town of Comox says the event is being held in celebration of International Bat Appreciation Day, which is on April 17.

The event is free.
