Closing arguments set to be heard in trial of Oak Bay man accused of killing his young daughters

Closing arguments will be heard on Tuesday in Vancouver in the trial of an Oak Bay man accused of killing his two young daughters.

Andrew Berry has pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree murder.

The bodies of six-year-old Chloe and four-year-old Aubrey Berry were found in their father’s apartment on Christmas day 2017.

During the months-long trial, the prosecution argued Berry stabbed his daughters to death before trying to kill himself.

Taking the stand in his defence, Berry says he was attacked and regained consciousness to find his daughters dead.

The judge will later deliver her final instructions before the jury retires to consider a verdict
