WATCH: Former GM/Head Coach Mike Vandekamp returned to Nanaimo on Saturday night, but his Cowichan Valley Capitals were defeated 6-1 by the host Clippers at Frank Crane Arena.
It was the Clippers who were in control from the opening face-off to the final horn, Marcus Mitchell scored two goals and added an assist for the Clippers in the win.
The Clippers were taken down by the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.
