OTTAWA — The federal government says it decides to strip someone’s citizenship only when there is evidence it was obtained through false representation, fraud or knowingly concealing relevant circumstances. The number of Canadian citizenship revocations in the last three fiscal years, beginning in April:

April 1 to May 7, 2019: 7 

2018-2019: 0

2017-2018: 10

Total: 17
