Cherry Bomb Toys will be relocating to 719 Yates Street.

A popular Victoria toy shop, Cherry Bomb Toys, has found a new home after it was forced out of its previous spot.

From Star Wars figures, LEGOs, board games, comics, and more, Cherry Bomb Toys has served up nostalgia for the last 18 years, and will continue to do so.

The shop is relocating from Broad Street, but they’re not going far, the shop and toy museum is moving to 719 Yates Street.

The owners had been on the lookout for a new space after they got notice their previous lease would not be renewed in the new year.

“We have new landlords that bought the building and they’re going to be moving their businesses in, so we’ve been there for 13 years, a lot of memories there, it’s a bit of a sad bittersweet move but you know everyone’s really welcoming in this neighbourhood so we’re excited,” said Candice Woodward, owner of Cherry Bomb Toys.

While it looks bare now, the owners have big plans for their new spot, which is set to open in the spring.
